The Tableau customer conference is just ending in Las Vegas and here’s a Tableau visualization with the conference’s Twitter posts. Tableau has announced that their newest version, version 7, will feature support for Hadoop and Hive. Here’s the blog post about the demo complete with a video.
Stanford is offering a class on artificial intelligence and has opened enrollment up to the community. The two instructors are Peter Norvig and Sebastian Thrun. The class is being offered via weekly videos on Youtube. The class is already closed to new registrants, but keep your eyes peeled for future offerings. Omniture and Webtrends are two of the leading web analytics solutions available today. Historically, web analytics platforms provided reports, but that was about the extent of it. With the new versions of Omniture and Webtrends things are a bit different. Here’s a video of the new features in Omniture Sitecatalyst 15, but what you’ll really want to see is the new Webtrends Analytics 10.

Hunch has just posted a new page detailing what parts of their service are available via their open API. Their service provides personalized recommendation based on the answers you gave to a series of profile questions. The full Hunch profile is ~2,000 questions.

The free web analytics system from Google, Google Analytics, has gotten a few updates. They now have a real-time dashboard so you can see what is happening on your site right now. And for Google Analytics users who need more than what’s been available for free, Google now offers a premium tier with phone support, SLAs, and increased data.
