Omniture and Webtrends are two of the leading web analytics solutions available today. Historically, web analytics platforms provided reports, but that was about the extent of it. With the new versions of Omniture and Webtrends things are a bit different. Here’s a video of the new features in Omniture Sitecatalyst 15, but what you’ll really want to see is the new Webtrends Analytics 10.

Adobe acquires Demdex behavioral data bank

Techcrunch reports that Adobe has acquired Demdex. Demdex captures and stores website behavioral data. Demdex will be added in with Adobe’s Omniture.

Omniture announces new Facebook analytics tool

Inside Facebook has a review of Omniture’s new tool for analyzing use of an application on Facebook. This new tool will give marketers insight into who is using their Facebook apps and how they share the apps with their friends. App Measurement for Facebook is an add-on to Omniture’s SiteCatalyst product.
